Vaccinations needed for special groups
By the time you are an adult, you should be immunized against the following diseases. If you were never immunized as a child, talk to your health care professional about getting immunized now against the following diseases. Here is the schedule

When you are 50 and older or have a chronic health condition, you should talk to your health professional about having:
An influenza (flu) immunization every year (needs to be done every year to be effective)

When you are 65 and older or have a chronic health condition, you should talk to your health professional about having:
An influenza (flu) immunization every year (Medicare pays for flu shots for all those on Part B)

A pneumococcal immunization at least once at age 65.
Medicare pays for both of these immunizations

If you are a health care or public safety worker
